Hi all, I had updated by Tom Tom one to the latest Aus maps version 705.1485 and had them working fine with v7 software on my tom tom one. I just now hooked it up to the tomtom home software which updated the software on my tomtom to version 8. The maps no longer work, it just says 'you can't use this map on this device'. I tried re-patching the ttsystem file and recopying the new map over but it won't let you use them. Is anyone else aware of this or how to get around it? New patch or something? New stuff in the menu's are Music and Media TomTom Jukebox Document Reader iPod Control Photo Gallery Voice preferences (heeps of new options) Change Car symbol Show Lane image Automatic zooming Quick menu preferences Speaker preferences Music preferences Send Receive files On the new navcore I can't see why you would wont a Jukebox Don't you have a CD player in your car I don't know if the jukebox will work on the 1xl.

But if you load the media center you can play movies for your passenger. The tts (text to speech) is pretty cool. A computer voice reads the name of the street as you turn into them. I used the navcore 8.011 basicpack, tts and media center and still have 9.5Mb free ram. I haven't tried this yet but had a look at the files.

Ttsystem used to be a single file but now there is a folder that contains ttsystem. Are we supposed to copy all folder contents on the sd card? Not only ttsystem file?Yes you do need to copy all files from. Navcore_SE_8.010.9369_basicpack and SE_ttsystem.8.010.9369 after you use the keygen for your 720 map it should all work fine I have a ONE XL Mapshare works ok on it which is what i wanted most. I am having a hard time with the english in the ipmart site and cant work out how to get the voice thing working can anyone maybe help with instructions on how they did it? Step by step installation procedure of Navcore 8.011.9373, LoquendoTTS, Human Voices and map v7.xx for Tomtom One XL - using Windows XP: Step 1.

Backup your original installation either by using Tomtom Home or by copying the files from your device to your PC. I prepare the latter but take note to set your Windows XP Explorer to 'expert mode', where you can see the folders and files system and hidden attributes (refer to Windows XP Help).

For an existing sd-card or internal memory card, delete everything except the folders you want to keep (Map, Voices, Sounds, mp3, Text, Video, SDKRegistry, ephem, art and games folders, etc). Download the necessary files, (navcore basicpack, se_ttsystem, ASR Advanced_Easyusetools_for_Keygen_Mapcheck_Metachec k_ttsystempatcher.rar) from Maps Working LoquendoTTS Media Center thread Step 4.

Unrar/Unzip Advanced_Easyusetools_for_Keygen_Mapcheck_Metachec k_ttsystempatcher.rar to your C: drive or any folder in your hard drive as long as the folder name is alpha-numeric (ie. If you already have your map installed or if not copy your map to your sd-card. You should have it in you map default folder or any map folder name of your choice. Run it for Navcore 8.010 and higher 2. Thanks alot kingsley.

I've just finished doing all you said step by step but all I get is 'Problem with map You cannot use this map on this device:Australia' I think Tomtom ONE v3 is not compatible with this map or ttsystem (Tomtom ONE XL is). I noticed two things 1) when i type [TOMTOM ONE XL] in ttgo files i get above map error message as soon as i turn the machine on. If I type [TOMTOM ONE] then it lets me set the time, choose some settings like km/mile, right hand/left hand, language then gives the same map error message. Lps 1 2 3 Public Deluxe Isotope.

2) when i first insert the card in on the right top corner it says 'SE version RUN on save RAM Mode XLS emulation no ETS' do you see such a message? Thanks alot kingsley. The SE version Run on save ram message is a feature put into the basic pack it alows the tomtom to clear ram to the sd card so that it has more usable ram i do see that message too. But i have got it working with my house mates one v3. Make sure you placed the files onto the root of the tomtoms sdcard first the map folder (make sure the maps not siting in a second folder) then the basic files again to the root of your tomtom sdcard last the tt_system patch if you dont do it in that order the patch will not overwrite the files it needs to overwite. Offline Joined: Tue Oct 22, 2013 7:47 am Posts: 7 Has thanked: 0 time Been thanked: time. Hey Downunder35m, and other enthusiasts I put a new navcore on my go300 (9,510) low memory device so with the swapfile. I checked the file with a viewer and when just put on the device(navcore) it showed no usage. Did some fiddling with some routes, watched the free mem and it changed a bit, also it rebooted a few times with a long route shortest way, so I think it went out of mem or couldn't write fast enough to the swapfile (navcore 9,485 behaved the same in the beginning, haven't really tested it on route) Checked the swapfile again, and there was data in it instead of only zero's, so the swap is being used.

(you weren't sure?) Is the swapfile size static or dynamic? Is this done in TTmemory-wrapper and if so can I increase the size there? Also what is the lowest memory eating skin or emu (not sure how this works anyway) for my device (tt go 300)? Or should I use some kind of emu for ALG? Edit: figured the skin thingie out offline Joined: Sat Sep 18, 2010 8:51 am Posts: 10 Has thanked: time Been thanked: time. Hi everybody, I have this device Tomtom XL (30 Series) TTS* / 330S - 1GB and the following on it: App 8.010 (9369/080529) OS: 190943 32 MB RAM GPS v1.21 Boot 5.5011 Map: 'Europe_1GB_West' V950.6544 Can I do something about this one?

New map maybe? When I open Home it does tell me that 2 updates for my map are available.?

Can i add special voices to it, I remember 8 years ago I did manage to install new map and voices on another Tomtom (forgot how), Ozzy Osbourne's voice was very funny indeed, so can I do it on this one as well? I didn't want to start another Thread for my stupid questions that maybe were asked xxx times again and again, if somebody can give me a quick answer would be great.

Thank you all! Cool2000 wrote:Hi, I have a Tomtom new one edition 2008 with 1GB of memory, which navcore I can put? And what is the advantage of updating to a new navcore?

Thanks The advantage is that you can use maps with alg and IQ routes advanced lane guidance and intelligent routes [Please or to download file] [Please or to download file] And sometimes TTS (text to speech) computer voices are possible So it means that you give an old TomTom the functionality of a newer one. So try the 1.NC9.510_DSA_comp_voices_UK.zip [Please or to download file] Download unzip and place the file and folders on the One (Always make a backup before you start). Also, you have more choice of maps Look at the chart Horizontal the navcores Then vertical the Green Y To the left, the maps wich can be used with the navcore To the right wich features the map have.

Those features only have use if your device supports them. I.e the One has no microphone so a map wich support it has no use At least there must be a meta for the map. So no meta the map has no use at all.
